Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce
The Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce provides networking and enrichment opportunities, as well as support those who live and work in our community. 

Virginia’s Gateway Region
The Virginia’s Gateway Region exists to enhance the economic development opportunities for the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, and Petersburg, and the counties of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Prince George, Surry, and Sussex.

Virginia’s Gateway Region is a private, nonprofit organization that is publicly and privately funded to facilitate new business opportunities, work with existing businesses, advance resources that will enhance the economic viability of the region, and foster regional cooperation among the public and private entities that are involved in economic development activities.

Crater Development Company
The Crater Development Company (CDC) is a private non-profit corporation that is the business loan affiliate of Crater PDC. The purpose of CDC's loan programs is to stimulate the growth and expansion of small businesses in the area by creating additional jobs, increasing the local tax base, and expanding business ownership opportunities.

CDC has two loan programs to assist small businesses; the Crater Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) and the SBA 504 Loan Program. For more information, contact Jim McClure at 804-861-1668. 

Crater Small Business Development Center (Longwood)
The Crater Small Business Development Center (SBDC), located in Petersburg, Virginia, is one of four full-time economic development offices of the Longwood Small Business Development Center program.

The Longwood SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides assistance and training to help small business owners and potential owners make sound decisions for the successful operation of their business.

Part of a statewide network, the Longwood SBDC serves nineteen counties and five cities in South-Central Virginia. The Crater SBDC serves the Crater region comprising the counties of Dinwiddie, Prince George, Charles City, Surry, Sussex and the cities of Colonial Heights, Emporia, Hopewell and Petersburg.
